The story behind my photography
Photography has been one of my greatest passions for many years. Whenever I have the chance, I head outdoors with my camera to capture beautiful landscapes, peaceful forest trails, historic towns and the beauty of nature. My favourite moments to photograph are early in the morning or late in the evening, when the light is at its most beautiful. I'm always searching for unique scenes, both in the Netherlands and during my travels to destinations such as Iceland and Norway.
I was born and raised in Apeldoorn, a city that continues to inspire much of my photography. Many of my images are taken in and around my hometown, with Kroondomein Het Loo, also known as Paleispark Het Loo, being one of my favourite locations.
Since 2025, I have been part of the photography team at the annual Grolsch Dragon Boat Festival Apeldoorn. With more than twenty editions behind it, the festival has grown into one of the largest events in the Apeldoorn region. During the festival I capture the atmosphere, live performances, dragon boat races and the people who make the event so special. Event photography has therefore become an important part of my photographic work alongside landscape photography.
On this website, I share a selection of my favourite photographs, taken during my travels, personal photography projects and special events. I hope my work not only showcases the places I have visited, but also inspires others to look at nature, landscapes and cities from a different perspective.
My journey into photography began in 2004 when I bought my first DSLR camera, the Canon EOS 300D. What started as a hobby gradually developed into a lifelong passion. Over the years I photographed with several Canon cameras, including the Canon EOS 550D, Canon EOS 70D and, from 2018 onwards, my first full-frame camera, the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, which accompanied me on countless photography trips.
Since 2024, I have been using the Canon EOS R5, a professional mirrorless camera that perfectly matches my style of photography. Together with a selection of Canon lenses, a sturdy tripod and various filters, it allows me to capture landscapes in a wide range of conditions and lighting.
In recent years, I have also embraced drone photography. Seeing the world from above offers a completely different perspective and makes it possible to capture landscapes, nature reserves and cities in ways that simply aren't possible from the ground.
My photography is characterised by a sense of calm, atmosphere and attention to detail. Whether I am photographing a vast landscape, a historic city or the excitement of a large event, my goal is always the same: to create an image that tells a story.

Dragon Boat Festival Apeldoorn 2026
This year, I once again had the opportunity to work as one of the official photographers at the Grolsch Dragon Boat Festival in Apeldoorn. The 20th edition kicked off on Friday evening with a performance by Zoë Livay, followed by artists including Anouk. With thousands of visitors, a fantastic atmosphere and a true festival vibe, it was another memorable edition that was a pleasure to photograph.The Beauty of Puglia – Southern Italy

At the beginning of 2026, Paleispark Het Loo in Apeldoorn was unexpectedly transformed into a beautiful winter landscape. Whereas the traces of autumn are usually still visible in early January, the park was suddenly covered by a soft blanket of snow. The park wasn't quite "ready" for winter yet, and perhaps that was exactly what made it so special: autumn and winter briefly overlapped. One of the most enjoyable photography projects I have had the opportunity to work on in recent years was a photo shoot at the beautiful Van der Valk Hotel Apeldoorn. Thanks to one of the hotel's managers, I was given permission to photograph several locations throughout the hotel. Among the places I captured were the lobby, the hotel bar, the restaurant and the swimming pool.
